Another in a series of observations of life as I know it.
Now, if I don't get elected, it's going to be a bloodbath for the whole - that's going to be the least of it. It's going to be a bloodbath for the country. That'll be the least of it.
If you call them people (immigrants)-I don't know if you call them people. In some cases, they're not people, in my opinion, but I'm not allowed to say that because the radical left says that's a terrible thing to say.

Some assert that frozen embryos are people. Like a well made martini, they are chilled to perfection. So here’s the flip side. Apparently some immigrants are NOT “real people”. According to the indicted ex president. To both I say, poppycock and balderdash!
Personhood is becoming difficult to explain. Can embryos, if placed on the front seat of a sedan, fulfill the HOV requirement for 2 or more passengers? “Excuse me officer, I’m taking my ice babies to Gymboree”. And if immigrants aren’t “real people”, then who is cleaning your house? Some form of AI? As you can see, I have questions. Clearly we need to get to the bottom of this vexing conundrum ASAP. As a personal aside, I am having a devil of a time with the man who said this about immigrants. Of course, he will say anything to get your vote. But, is he, in fact, a “real person”? It is often said that our eyes are the window to the soul. Have you looked into those vacant, reptilian orbs lately? Nothing. There is no there, there. Or in fact, nary a shred of a soul, or a beating heart. I rest my case.
Immigrants are, I feel I must insist, living, breathing, sentient human beings. Not people-sicles. They have endured enough sorrow and hardship along the way that they are willing to risk a panoply of terrors—like razor wire, airless box trucks, feckless Texans, and more—just to enter the Land of the Free. Sadly, I am not convinced their lives will be appreciably better once they cross our border. But hope is a strong motivator. The mythos attached to Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms impels immigrants to reach for the stars. And settle for border-side detention centers.
Frozen embryos are also a form of tangible hope. After exhausting every possible method of impregnation, couples will take out second mortgages, get additional employment, and endure the humiliation of IVF. It’s exhausting and it too comes without a guarantee. However, let’s be abundantly clear. The tiny fertilized eggs, preserved in ice cube trays, cannot hold a conversation. Or in fact, can they exist outside of a uterus until birth. Once placed in the womb, only time, nutrients, prenatal vitamins and honestly, a wing and a prayer, bring the embryo to personhood at birth. Until birth, the fetus is utterly dependent on the mother’s body. Miscarriages are legion after IVF. There are no iron clad warranties. After birth, there just might be a glimmer of hope of the aforementioned state of humanity. Conscious life.
Candidates for President rarely have medical knowledge. To that end, they are wholly unqualified to determine what constitutes life, real or imagined. Personhood is not defined by political parties, heat-seeking whackadoodles or Alabama Supreme Court Apostates. Nor orange men who promise Armageddon if they are not elected. Embryos and immigrants are apples and oranges. Only fools chase such demeaningly specious philosophies. And it’s only Monday…
I do like the idea of frozen embryos counting as passengers to meet HOV standards -- but why shouldn't a pregnant woman count for two people as well? OTOH, this might result in her having to pay for two movie tickets . . . "But we're only taking up one seat!" Which leads to another ploy: "My sister is going to sit in my lap. Does she have to pay?"
Love it Jane. I wish this orange “person” never existed.
